Arts and Craft
This subject is meant to combine traditional abilities like working with clay or bamboo with painting, knitting and other tasks. Creativity isn't encouraged in Indian schools, whereas we believe that creating beauty is most important for a child's development. Our kids' achievements are displayed and sold on the school annual day. During the last year we knitted pencil bags and caps (class two), practiced sewing and embroidering (class three) or formed different models out of clay, such as animals, faces (class five) or religious figurines like that of the Indian god Ganesha.
